Hazaribag: A class 10 student died allegedly by suicide on her birthday on Friday by consuming poison due to constant stalking and harassment by a fellow classmate over one-sided love affair. A complaint was lodged with Bara Bazar police station against three persons.In his plaint, the father of the deceased claimed that his daughter was being forced by a fellow classmate to go out with him for the past one month. On Friday too, the accused harassed her when she went to school and made calls to her after she returned home. The boy, his mother, and a relative also threatened the victim, he added.The deceased girl’s father claimed that they had once tried to counsel the boy after the girl informed them about earlier incidents.SDPO (headquarters) Amit Kumar Anand said, “We have received the information and are looking into the matter. No arrest has been made so far.”
