Chennai: A 35-year-old man was run over by a speeding train near Chengalpet on Sunday.The victim was identified as Mutharasan, from Kundrathur. He was crossing the railway track between Tambaram and Chengalpet railway stations when the accident occurred.Tambaram railway police received information and rushed to the scene. The body was recovered and sent to Tambaram Govt Hospital for postmortem. Police registered a case and are investigating. Police suspect Mutharasan crossed the railway track while talking on his mobile phone.
