TN chief minister Vijay’s election from Trichy East challenged
Chief minister Vijay had defeated Irudhayaraj with a margin of 27,416 votes

Chennai: With the limitation period of 45 days to file an election petition nearing, many DMK and AIADMK candidates, who lost in the Tamil Nadu assembly election, have approached the Madras high court.DMK candidate for Trichy East constituency, Inigo S Irudayaraj, has challenged the election of TVK chief and chief minister C Joseph Vijay. Vijay had defeated Irudhayaraj with a margin of 27,416 votes. AIADMK candidate for Gobichettipalayam Prabhu has challenged the election of minister K A Sengottaiyan.Similarly, DMK candidate T Parivallal has challenged the election of AIADMK MLA Leema Rose from Lalgudi constituency. She won the election with a margin of 2,379 votes, while TVK candidate Ku Pa Krishnan came second with 58,056 votes. DMK was pushed to third place with 55,565 votes.
