The scrutiny process ensured that only institutions meeting prescribed standards were cleared for transplant-related services,” health department’s additional chief secretary Ajoy Kumar Singh said.He added that the move is aimed at strengthening organ and tissue transplantation services in Jharkhand and ensuring that patients receive quality and timely treatment within the state, reducing the need to travel outside for specialised eye care services.During the meeting, the committee reviewed documentation, clinical facilities, staffing patterns, and adherence to legal provisions before arriving at the final decision.
