Kolkata: The city remained cloudy and received occasional drizzles on Wednesday (June 24) even as the maximum temperature clocked 30.8°C.Several areas across south Bengal continued to be lashed by severe thunderstorms.A seasonal trough and cyclonic circulations over Bay of Bengal are triggering heavy rain and thunderstorms in north Bengal and parts of south Bengal, said a bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC).Heavy to very heavy rain is likely over north Bengal and parts of south Bengal between Friday and Sunday (June 26-29.) Many south Bengal districts will see light to moderate rain with gusty winds up to 50-60 km/hour. Heavy rainfall is expected with occasional very heavy rain on June 28.
