Patna: A 23-year-old man was found hanging from a bamboo beam inside his house under the Angarghat police station area of Samastipur district on Wednesday morning. The family has alleged that he was murdered over a land dispute and the body was hung to make it appear as suicide. Police have sent the body for postmortem to Sadar hospital and initiated an investigation.The deceased was identified as Chandan Kumar (23), son of Dinesh Rai, a resident of Veernama Tola, Ward No. 12, under Angarghat police station. He worked as a truck driver.Chandan’s brother, Kundan Kumar, said the family had an ongoing dispute with Gajendra Rai, Ashok Rai and Shankar Rai of the extended family over a two-foot-wide pathway for the past three days, leading to tension between the two sides.Kundan alleged that his brother was killed due to this dispute and the body was later hung.Angarghat SHO Himanshu Kumar said necessary action would be taken after the family submits a written complaint.
