Sanjay Sahay | TNNRanchi: The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, has announced the launch of four new post graduate diploma (PG Diploma) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session, expanding its offerings in specialised legal education.The new programmes are in mines and minerals laws, intellectual property rights, child rights and child protection, and corporate law. According to the university, the courses have been designed to equip students, working professionals, academicians and practitioners with specialised legal knowledge and practical expertise in emerging areas of law.To encourage participation by working professionals, NUSRL said classes will be held on weekends and holidays. This arrangement will allow candidates to pursue higher education without interrupting their professional commitments.The university said PG diploma in mines and mineral law has been introduced in view of Jharkhand’s vast mineral resources and the growing importance of legal and regulatory frameworks governing the mining sector. It added that the other three courses are also in high demand.Graduates from any recognised university, irrespective of academic discipline, are eligible to apply. Admissions will be strictly merit-based, and seats in each programme will be limited, NUSRL said. The announcement covers admissions for the 2026-27 session at NUSRL.
