Bhagalpur: The semi-nude body of 48-year-old builder Bajrang Kumar was recovered from his locked office opposite Tilka Manjhi police station in Bhagalpur on Thursday, prompting a police investigation into the mysterious death.According to the family, Bajrang, a resident of Neelkanth Nagar, had not returned home after leaving for his office on Tuesday. After searching for him without success, they informed the police.On Thursday morning, his wife noticed the office remained locked but the ceiling fan inside was running. Suspecting her husband was inside, she alerted the police, who broke open the lock at around 10am. Bajrang’s body was found lying inside the office.The body was sent for post-mortem, while a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team examined the scene.Bhagalpur SSP Pramod Kumar Yadav said police were examining CCTV footage and other evidence. He said it had emerged during the investigation that Bajrang occasionally slept in the office, where a bed and pillow were found. The officer added one person had remained inside the office throughout the night before the body was discovered.Police are trying to trace the person as part of the investigation.“The body was recovered in a semi-nude condition. The police teams including FSL have gathered evidence from the spot and the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report and scientific examination,” Pramod said.Police said the cause of death would be established only after the post-mortem report and scientific examination are completed. Investigators are examining all possible angles.
