Meet on new criminal laws begins in Bodh Gaya today

Gaya: Sitting judges of Supreme Court, Patna high court and district courts from across the state will deliberate on the implementation of the newly introduced criminal laws at a two-day state-level conference at convention centre in Bodh Gaya beginning Saturday.Patna high court Chief Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai and chief minister Samrat Choudhary are likely to attend the inaugural session. Superintendents of police from all districts will also participate in the discussions focused on the role of police in ensuring the effective enforcement of the new legal framework.In view of the high-level programme, temporary restrictions on vehicular movement will remain in force in Bodh Gaya on Saturday from 8am to 4pm to facilitate secure and smooth movement of participants.According to the traffic plan chalked out by the Gaya district administration, entry of heavy vehicles from Manpur to Bodh Gaya via Ghughritand bypass will remain restricted. Vehicular movement on the route passing through Khatkachak, BIPARD, Gate no. 5 of the Officers’ Training Academy, Tekuna Farm and Domuhan will also be regulated.As an alternative, the district administration has advised commuters to use the route via Sikaria Mor, Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH) and Cherki Road to reach Bodh Gaya.
