HR& CE minister asks public to mail complaints on temple irregularities

Chennai: State HR&CE minister S Ramesh has appealed to the public to report corruption and malpractices in temples administered by the department. A few days ago, PWD minister Aadhav Arjunaa had issued a similar appeal. While Arjuna sought complaints about corruption in previous govts, Ramesh asked people to inform him about ongoing irregularities.He asked the public to email their complaints regarding irregularities in temples under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department, along with supporting evidence, to his email address (minister_hrce@tn.gov.in). He added that the complaints may include illegal collection of money, bribery in temple renovation and restoration works, and bribes sought for appointments and employment in temples.“I wish to inform you that I, along with my office, will directly take steps to ensure appropriate action is taken on these complaints,” he posted on social media.Aadhav, in his appeal, had urged affected persons to lodge complaints with the police or email them to minister.pwd.hd.tn@gmail.com.
