Biada clears 29 industrial projects worth Rs6,000 crore

Patna: In a major boost to Bihar’s industrial growth, the project clearance committee (PCC) of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (Biada) has approved 29 industrial projects and allotted around 37 acres of industrial land along with Plug-and-Play sheds to facilitate the early establishment and operationalisation of these units.The approved projects are expected to attract investments of around Rs 6,000 crore and generate nearly 3,000 employment opportunities across the state. Officials said the investments would provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s economy and accelerate industrial development.Industries minister Shreyasi Singh said the steady rise in investments reflected growing investor confidence in Bihar’s business ecosystem.“The newly approved projects mark another significant step towards establishing Bihar as a modern manufacturing hub. They will generate large-scale employment and skill development opportunities for our local youth,” she said.Industries department secretary and Biada managing director Kundan Kumar said the land allotment process remained completely transparent and time-bound. He said the state was committed to providing a business-friendly environment through quality infrastructure, simplified procedures and improved connectivity to ensure timely implementation of projects.The approved projects span high-growth sectors, including electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, advanced medical technology, textiles and food processing. The units will be established across key industrial locations, including Bihta (Sikandrapur), Hathua in Gopalganj, Lohat in Madhubani and Fatuha in Patna.Major investors driving the latest round of industrial expansion include Ampera Life India Pvt. Ltd., Shri Shirdi Sainath Power Infratech and Rungta Irrigation Ltd.
