Dumka: Two brothers were arrested from near Mohanpur railway station on Sunday on charges of their involvement in several cases of murder, robbery, snatching, kidnapping, and vehicle theft lodged in police stations across Deoghar district, police said.The habitual offenders, identified as Rajiv Kumar Das (25) and Sanjeev Kumar Das (20), are residents of Aamgachhi village under the Rikhia police station limits of Deoghar, police added.Deoghar SP Praveen Pushkar said, “The accused have confessed their involvement in the June 18 murder of one Subhash Mandal alias Tinku Mandal. The victim was killed during the attempted robbery of his motorcycle and phone.”“The duo also admitted to their involvement in several cases of motorcycle thefts, robberies, kidnappings, and snatchings in Jasidih, Sarath, and Devipur police station areas,” the Deoghar SP further said.A loaded country-made pistol, four live cartridges, four mobile phones, Rs 1,800 in cash, and a stolen motorcycle were seized from the two accused brothers, police added.
