HC admits election petitions against Vijay and Adhav
According to the petitioners, in his campaign speech on April 21, Vijay appealed to children to ask their parents and other family members to vote for TVK violating election code that prohibits involvement of minors in election campaigns.

Chennai: Madras high court on Tuesday ordered notices to chief minister C Joseph Vijay and PWD minister Aadhav Arjuna on a batch of election petitions challenging their elections from Perambur, Trichy East, and Villivakkam Assembly constituencies.Admitting the plea, Justice V Lakshminarayanan also issued notices to the election authorities.The petitions have been moved by DMK’s Perambur candidate R D Shekar, S Dinesh, and Lakshmi Narasimhan. Similarly, DMK’s Trichy East candidate S Inigo Irudayaraj has moved the court challenging Vijay’s election from Trichy East constituency.According to the petitioners, in his campaign speech on April 21, Vijay appealed to children to ask their parents and other family members to vote for TVK violating election code that prohibits involvement of minors in election campaigns.The petitions challenging Aadhav Arjuna’s election were moved by DMK’s candidate Karthik Mohan and a person named R Sivaraj.
