Kolkata: Nine unidentified men allegedly stopped a car on EM Bypass in Kolkata. They assaulted the driver, robbed him at gunpoint, and recorded inappropriate videos of two of his female friends after a road rage incident on Tuesday.It took place near the Ambedkar Bridge area on Bypass. According to the police complaint, the vehicle owner, Mohammad Kamran Yusuf, was driving towards Ruby Hospital when his car hit a rainwater-filled pothole. The water splashed onto a scooty that was passing by.Soon after, eight to nine men on three two-wheelers allegedly stopped Yusuf’s vehicle and surrounded it. They abused him and his friends. When Yusuf objected and tried to pacify them, the accused allegedly attacked him.The accused allegedly punched and kicked him, dragging him out of the vehicle. One of the attackers allegedly pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him, if he shouted for help.The men allegedly took his wallet, which had Rs 8,500, his driving licence, voter ID card, and other personal items.The complaint also alleges that the accused harassed the two women inside the car.A local resident, Abhijit Mondal, stepped in and helped the victim contact the police. The victim first went to Anandapur Police Station, but he was told that the area came under Tiljala Police Station. Tiljala Police Station later registered an FIR.Police are trying to identify the accused.
