Patna: Contractor Rishu Shree, lodged in jail in connection with the tender scam, suffered a major setback on Thursday after the Patna vigilance court rejected his regular bail plea.Rejecting the plea, Special Vigilance Judge Atul Kumar Singh said that, after hearing both sides and examining the case diary and investigation reports, the evidence on record showed that the petitioner was directly involved in the offence for which he had been charged. The court observed that Rishu Shree secured tenders in various departments by paying commissions and acting in connivance with officials and other accused persons. It further noted that the seizure list attached to the case diary showed that the investigating officer had recovered 61 sale deeds, jewellery and cash from his residence.
