Training ends for police cooks at IHM

Patna: The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHM), Hajipur, an autonomous body under the Union tourism ministry, has successfully concluded the third batch of a five-day skill development and orientation programme for cooks serving in various battalions and training centres of the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP).Certificates were distributed to participants at a valedictory function held on Friday. IHM assistant director Murtaza Kamal said the training focused on food hygiene, nutrition, safe food handling, kitchen management, personal hygiene, sanitation and professional culinary techniques. The initiative aims to improve food quality, hygiene standards and nutritional practices across BSAP establishments.He added that a 10-day skill development programme for cooks and khansamas working at the governor’s secretariat in Patna also concluded on Friday.
