Patna: Complaints related to ration cards, pensions, PM Awas Yojana, land disputes, mutation, land measurement, caste and income certificates, and electricity bills figured prominently as CM Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday launched the state-level Sahyog programme in Patna, an extension of the ongoing panchayat-level initiative aimed at resolving public grievances.A total of 129 applications were received at the camp, officials said. Of them, 100 applicants were present and their grievances were addressed. The initiative seeks to provide a single platform where people can directly place their problems before the administration and ensure quicker resolution of cases that remain pending at lower levels.“The aim and purpose of the camps is to ensure that people’s problems are resolved within 30 days. If an application is still reaching me, it means it was not handled properly at the appropriate level,” the CM said. He added that nearly 90% of the grievances received at the camps had already been disposed of.Samrat directed sub-divisional officers, deputy collector land reforms and district magistrates to closely monitor the disposal of cases at the level of circle officers and block development officers. Commissioners and departmental secretaries were also asked to keep track of the process. He advised officials not to reject applications on technical grounds if supporting documents were missing. Instead, they should issue notices asking applicants to submit the required papers.“I hope that all the officials will engage themselves with the programme with sensitivity and dedication to leave a feeling of satisfaction in the applicant,” the CM said. The programme was launched at the Sahyog Karyakram Hall in the CM Secretariat. Samrat unveiled the plaque of the application-receiving counter and inaugurated Sahyog Path, stretching from Deshratna Marg to the counter. Officials said such camps would now be held on the second Tuesday of every month. The concept of resolving grievances at the panchayat level was earlier introduced by former CM Nitish Kumar as part of the govt’s ‘ease of living programme’ and incorporated into Saat Nishchay-3. As part of the initiative, Samrat launched the panchayat-level Sahyog camp programme from Dumri Bujurg panchayat in Saran district on May 19.During the event, the CM also directed officials to intensify awareness campaigns on the Mukhyamantri Solar Yojana, under which rooftop solar panels are being installed in private homes. Consumers are entitled to free electricity of up to 125 units under the scheme. If solar power generation exceeds 125 units, consumers will be paid for the surplus electricity.Samrat also said eligible beneficiaries whose pension applications are pending would start receiving pension from Aug 10 after the completion of the approval process.Deputy CMs Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, ministers of various departments, principal secretary to the CM Deepak Kumar, chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit, DGP Vinay Kumar, CM’s secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh and senior officials were present at the launch.
