Ranchi: A five-year-old girl was rescued from alleged kidnappers by Ranchi police from a hotel near Gaya railway station in Bihar on Thursday, within 12 hours of the complaint being lodged, and three persons were arrested.Police said the accused were identified as kidnapper Ramesh Kumar Mishra, 20, and his accomplices Sachin Kumar and Monu Kumar, both aged 19 years. Police added that Ramesh used to live as a tenant in the girl’s house.SP (rural) Gaurav Goswami said that a complaint was lodged with Daladali police outpost regarding the missing girl on Thursday. “A team was formed under DSP Ajay Aryan, which conducted raids at 30 places in Gaya with the help of local police and traced the girl within 12 hours,” he said.He added that Ramesh took the girl to Gaya with the intention to seek a ransom of Rs 3 lakh from her parents. Her mother initially paid Rs 5,000 twice after they threatened to kill the child. “The other two accused helped Ramesh in the crime,” the SP said.
