Hazaribag: Twelve persons were injured when a passenger bus, heading to Chatra from Gaya, and an SUV collided head-on on national highway-22 near Seregara in the Sanghri Ghat area under the Sadar police station limits of Chatra district on Friday around 1.15 pm, police said.The front portions of both vehicles were totally damaged under the impact. Area residents helped pull the injured out of the mangled vehicles and took them to nearby govt hospital. Three were referred to the Chatra sadar hospital, eyewitnesses said.Officer in-charge of the Sadar police station Anil Oraon said, “The vehicles had been taken into custody and an investigation initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.”The seriously injured were identified as Nancy Kumari, 18, of Huntergunj block, Shruti Kumari, 20, of Sadar block, and SUV driver Amit Singh, 24, of Chatra town, police added.
