Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali are among a galaxy of international stars set to light up Canada Super 60 Season 2 after the league successfully concluded its player draft ahead of its return to Vancouver later in Sept.The second edition of Canada’s premier T10 competition has assembled six star-studded franchises featuring a mix of global cricketing names and leading Canadian talent. Scheduled to be held at BC Place in Vancouver from Sept 29 to Oct 4, the tournament will feature Vancouver Anchors, Whiterock Warriors, Brampton Blitz, Toronto Sixers, Mississauga Masters and Montreal Royal Tigers.Already boasting marquee signings such as Pollard, Pooran, Colin Munro, Mustafizur Rahman, Russell and Bairstow, the draft further strengthened the league’s talent pool with the additions of Moeen, Imad Wasim, Tom Curran, David Willey, Tymal Mills, Azam Khan and Andries Gous.The draft also reinforced the competition’s commitment to developing cricket in Canada, with several prominent domestic players securing spots across the six franchises. National team stars and emerging talents including Saad Bin Zafar, Kaleem Sana, Nicholas Kirton, Yuvraj Samra, Ali Nadeem, Dilraj Deol and Finley Dixon are expected to play key roles during the six-day event.With explosive batters, versatile all-rounders and experienced international bowlers spread across six teams, the player draft has laid the foundation for what organisers believe will be the strongest edition of the tournament yet.League partner Yuvraj Singh said the quality of players choosing to participate reflected the growing appeal of the event. “It is exciting to see so many world-class cricketers choosing to be part of Canada Super 60.
