JPSC-JSSC row: JLKM backs students’ protest, demands CBI probe

Dhanbad: Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) on Tuesday staged a one-day sit-in protest at Memco More in Dhanbad, backing the ongoing students’ agitation in Ranchi over alleged paper leaks and irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations. The protest, held near the statue of Shaheed Manindra Nath Mandal, was led by Dumri MLA Jairam Mahto and attended by JLKM workers and supporters. The protesters demanded a transparent recruitment process and strict action against those responsible for the alleged irregularities.Addressing the gathering, Mahto said the protest was aimed at boosting the morale of students agitating in Ranchi and expressing solidarity with their demand for fair recruitment. He warned that if the govt failed to address the aspirants’ concerns, JLKM would intensify its agitation and, if needed, march to Ranchi to stage a major protest outside the state Assembly.Mahto also questioned the credibility of the state’s Criminal Investigation Department, alleging that the agency had lost public confidence. He demanded that the alleged paper leak case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation for an impartial probe. He further urged the state govt to accept moral responsibility, saying accountability must be fixed if it could not ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process for the youth.
