Patna: A juvenile offender involved in a motorcycle theft case escaped from police custody during a medical examination at a govt hospital in Vaishali district on Tuesday.According to police, the juvenile, a resident of Hajipur area, was apprehended by police after he was allegedly caught stealing a motorcycle on Monday. After completing the required formalities, police took him to the hospital on Tuesday for a medical examination.During the examination, the juvenile offender allegedly took advantage of the rush at the hospital and slipped away from the police personnel escorting him. Police personnel chased him, but he managed to evade them in the crowded hospital premises.SHO, Arvind Paswan, said preliminary legal action had been initiated in connection with the escape. He said police teams were conducting searches to trace the juvenile.
