Ranchi: The Jharkhand high court on Wednesday directed the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) to file its response in a petition challenging re-examination of the middle school teachers’ appointment process.Petitioner Arpana Kumari mentioned that due to errors in the examination process, the candidates should not be pushed for re-examination. The JSSC, in an earlier notification, said re-examination would be conducted for 2,819 students, whereas in its affidavit filed before the high court, it said the 2,837 candidates will take re-examination. There is gross contradiction in the statements of the Commission, the petitioner said.The court will hear the matter again on August 18.The Commission had held the examination for appointment of middle school teachers in January. However there were anomalies in the corrections for which a re-examination has been ordered by the Commission which is under challenge before the high court.
