Patna: The Bihar Special Task Force (STF) has arrested the kingpin of an interstate theft gang wanted in a theft case registered at Khargar police station in Navi Mumbai on Aug 11.The accused, identified as Sriram Sah, was arrested from his hideout at Bariyarpur village in East Champaran during a raid conducted on the night of Aug 21, STF officials said on Saturday.During the operation, STF recovered a large quantity of valuables from his possession, including diamond-and-gold rings, lockets, pendants and earrings. Police also seized more than 11 grams of gold jewellery, nearly 29 grams of platinum ornaments, Rs 90,000 in cash and Nepalese currency worth Rs 1,170.According to STF, Sah is wanted in multiple house-breaking cases registered in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Police are verifying his criminal antecedents and investigating his links to theft cases in different states.
