Nitish likely to move to new house next week
In a significant transition, JD(U) figurehead Nitish Kumar plans to shift to his new residence in Patna next week. Accompanied by his son, he recently toured the 7, Circular Road bungalow. Additionally, Kumar is to receive a Type 8 bungalow in the prestigious Sunehri Bagh locality of Delhi.

Patna: JD(U) supremo and former CM Nitish Kumar is to shift to his new residence at 7, Circular Road in Patna next week, sources said.Nitish, who has also been allotted a new Type 8 bungalow at 9, Sunehri Bagh Road in Delhi, visited the 7, Circular Road bungalow on Friday. He was accompanied by his son, Nishant Kumar. Renovation work is going on there. He has already been provided with Z+ security as per a notification on March 30. Earlier as the CM, Nitish enjoyed a special security cover provided under the Bihar Special Security Act, 2000.The former CM, who used to have a very busy schedule every morning for the last two decades, had a comparatively quiet day on Friday as the entire focus of the administration and govt shifted to his successor Samrat.Nitish, who took oath as a Rajya Sabha member on April 10 and subsequently relinquished the post of Bihar CM in favour of BJP’s Samrat Choudhary, however, did not attend the crucial House proceedings on the three very important bills, including the women’s quota amendment bill, on Friday.The new accommodations were allotted following his resignation from the post of CM and taking oath as a Rajya Sabha member. Until now, he has been residing at the CM’s official residence at 1, Anne Marg.Nitish took stock of the ongoing preparations and arrangements at the 7, Circular Road bungalow.According to reports, the Sunheri Bagh area in Delhi is one of Delhi’s most VVIP localities, forming a part of Lutyens’ Delhi.
