Daltonganj: Two minor girls drowned in a pit beneath a bridge at Kherak in Masiyatu village of Latehar district around 5 pm on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Ritika Kumari (9) and Sakchi Kumari (8), both residents of Masiyatu village. Post-mortem examinations were conducted at the Sadar Hospital, Latehar, on Sunday. A case of unnatural death has been registered, said Balumath police station officer-in charge Anubhav Sinha.
