Patna: The inaugural edition of the India Cine Commune Film Festival (ICCFF) will bring filmmakers, writers and cinema enthusiasts together in Patna this month, with its first edition focusing on films and filmmakers from Bihar. The festival programme was announced at a news conference by directors Priyanka Singh and Azad Alam here on Friday.Envisioned as a travelling film festival, ICCFF will dedicate each edition to films and filmmakers from a different region of the country. The inaugural edition will showcase films rooted in Bihar and include interactions with filmmakers.The festival will open with Shazia Iqbal’s ‘Dhadak 2’, followed by a selection of short films, including ‘Half Fallen Tree’ by Sumit Mishra, ‘Maya’ by Vikas Chandra, ‘Guthli’ by Anuritha Jha and ‘Dor’ by Azad Alam. A group interaction with the filmmakers will follow, moderated by RJ Anjali. Festival director Priyanka Singh will welcome the audience and lead a conversation with Iqbal.The feature-film segment will continue with Parth Saurabh’s ‘Pokhar Ke Dunu Paar’, followed by an interaction with the director and actor Abhinav Jha. Achal Mishra’s ‘Dhuin’ will be screened as the closing film.The festival will also feature two panel discussions on aspects of filmmaking. The producers’ panel, titled ‘Bringing Cinema Home’, will feature Ranjan Singh, producer of ‘Nishanchi’ and founder of Flip Films, and Anshulika Dubey, producer of ‘Mandela’ and ‘Aamis’ and founder of The Writers’ Ink Institute.
