Patna: Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Choudhary, who also holds the education portfolio, said on Tuesday that the education system’s ultimate goal should be to ensure quality learning for every child.Presiding over a review meeting here on Tuesday, the minister took stock of several key initiatives presented by the director of primary education, Vikram Virkar. The briefing covered the development of Model Schools in every block under Saat Nishchay-3, teachers’ transfer policies, librarian exams, the PM-SHRI Poshan Yojana and NGO affiliations.During the meeting, Choudhary said all departmental policies, technological integrations and training modules are tools intended to yield the single result of improved student learning. He issued a directive for teachers to maintain mandatory attendance and perform their duties with integrity, warning against any negligence in the classroom. To streamline administrative processes, he asked officials to make a more transparent software for teachers’ transfers and postings.The minister further prioritised the continuous evaluation of teacher training and NGO-led programmes to measure their actual impact on academic quality. He said the effectiveness of recruitment must be matched by robust training modules and regular classroom observations. Emphasising the mission of the department, Choudhary said, “The final goal of this entire academic exercise is to provide quality education to children.”The meeting concluded with instructions for senior officials, including director of administration Manoranjan Kumar, to ensure regular monitoring of skill development and pedagogical outcomes across the state.
