NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated to scattered rainfall across several parts of India on Friday, with Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and parts of the northeast likely to receive rain. Heavy rainfall is also expected at isolated places in parts of south India and Arunachal Pradesh.Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely over several southern and northeastern regions. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and parts of Karnataka may also experience strong surface winds.Delhi and neighbouring areas are not mentioned in the latest forecast for any significant rainfall activity on Friday.IMD alert for FridayThe IMD has forecast isolated to scattered rainfall over several parts of northwest, central, eastern, northeastern and western India on Friday.In the east, rainfall is likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Jharkhand may also receive isolated to scattered rainfall.In the northeast, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya are likely to receive rainfall, while Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may also see showers.
