Howrah: Civic services in the Howrah Municipal Corporation area are being upgraded through projects worth Rs 125 crore ahead of civic elections.Municipal affairs minister Agnimitra Paul spoke about the allocation of fund to Howrah earlier in the week. Civic teams on Thursday launched work on road repairs, drainage restoration, beautification, vector-borne disease control, reconstruction of electric poles and installation of high-mast lights.
