Kolkata: UCO Bank reported a 22.6% rise in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, at Rs 801 crore, up from Rs 653 crore a year earlier. The city-based lender said its cost of funds improved 31 basis points year-on-year to 4.5% during the quarter.UCO Bank’s performance is among the best by PSU banks, said MD and CEO Ashwani Kumar.Fee-based income rose 32.6% year-on-year to Rs 516 crore from Rs 390 crore. The bank also recorded recovery and upgradation of over Rs 700 crore. Kumar said the Iran escrow account saw no major impact on dealings following the war.
