Patna: Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, along with Priti Adani, chairperson of the Adani Foundation, and Pranav Adani, director of Adani Enterprises Ltd, will arrive in Bihar on Sunday to take part in the ‘bhoomi pujan’ for the Adani Centre for Eye Diseases and the Adani Training Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at Mastichak in Saran district.Gautam Adani will lead the ground-breaking ceremony for the major vision care initiative, being developed in partnership with Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital. The project is aimed at building one of country’s most significant community outreach ecosystems for underserved regions, with a strong focus on affordable and accessible rural healthcare.The ceremony will take place in Mastichak, around 70 km from Patna, and will unveil plans for a large-scale vision care and skilling ecosystem designed to serve underserved populations across northern and central India.The project is expected to mark a major expansion of affordable rural healthcare infrastructure in Bihar and further underline the state’s growing importance in the Adani Group’s long-term development plans.Once completed, the expanded Mastichak ecosystem is expected to become one of the world’s largest rural vision care networks, enhancing affordable treatment, outreach services, skilling capacity and last-mile access.
