Kolkata: One person died and another sustained serious injuries after they were electrocuted at a residence on Bhukailash Road under Ekbalpur Police Station on Saturday morning.Police identified the deceased as Shibsharan Prasad Sau (51), while the injured, Debsharan Sau (45), is undergoing treatment at SSKM Hospital. The incident occurred around 7.05 am when Shibsharan came in contact with a live wire while hanging wet clothes at his home. Debsharan was electrocuted while attempting to rescue him.Preliminary enquiry suggests the accident was caused by a fault in the personal electric meter at the premises. CESC officials visited the spot to assess the situation.Police said the situation in the area remains peaceful and further investigation is underway. TNN
