Patna: Ahead of Congress functionary Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit to Patna on July 11 as part of the party’s Gen-Z mobilisation campaign in Bihar, the state Congress has begun filling the posts of block and district committee presidents under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan aimed at strengthening the organisation.“The process of appointing office-bearers at the block and district levels under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan has already started, beginning with appointments at the block level,” AICC in charge of Bihar affairs Krishna Allavaru said here on Wednesday.The Bihar Congress currently has 534 block committees and 54 district organisations.“By now, the list for around 60% of the blocks is ready for implementation, and the list for the remaining blocks will be finalised within the next 10 days. Thereafter, appointments to the district and state units will be announced,” Allavaru said.He was addressing a meeting of district observers and former candidates at the party’s state headquarters, Sadaquat Ashram, on Wednesday.Among those present were Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram, Congress Legislature Council leader and former state party chief Madan Mohan Jha, AICC co incharges Shahnawaz Alam and Sunil Kumar, and senior leader Shakil Ahmad Khan.Addressing the meeting, Rajesh reiterated that all organisational appointments would be made strictly under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan and in accordance with the guidelines and standards laid down by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
