CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke urges parents to let their children join protest; top voices to gather at Jantar Mantar today

NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Friday announced that several prominent personalities, including Colin Gonsalves, farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chadooni, Ranjeet Yadav and educator Kashif, will join the ongoing students’ protest at Jantar Mantar today in solidarity with examination aspirants.According to the schedule shared by Dipke, Bharat Natya Manch will address the gathering at 3.30 pm, followed by Gurnam Singh Chadooni at 4 pm, Ranjeet Yadav at 4.30 pm, Colin Gonsalves at 5 pm and Kashif sir at 5.30 pm.“I have just received a letter from a student whose parents are not allowing her to join the protest. I appeal to all parents: Please do not stop your children from participating in the protest. This is about their future,” Abhijeet Dipke said.Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk also announced that he would begin a hunger strike on June 28 if the Centre fails to show accountability by June 27 over the issues raised by the protesting students.Wangchuk appealed to the government to respond to the students’ demands by Saturday.The protesters continue to demand the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.Marking his birthday, protesters raised slogans and displayed placards reading, “Happy Birthday, Dharmendra Pradhan, please resign,” accusing the minister of failing to ensure accountability over alleged examination irregularities.The sit-in protest, which began on Saturday, has drawn students, examination aspirants and members of several student organisations from across the country.Protesters have been demanding action over alleged paper leaks and examination irregularities, including the controversy surrounding NEET-UG.The organisation said it would continue its agitation until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns, maintaining that accountability must be fixed for the alleged lapses in the examination system.
