Hazaribag: A member of an interstate arms racket was arrested from a village in Barhi during a raid, police said on Thursday. The accused, identified as Aamir Sohail alias Raja Babu, was arrested in Rasoiyadhamna village by a police team led by Barhi sub-divisional police officer Radha Prem Kishore.Sohail, police said, tried to flee but was caught with a country-made revolver, two live cartridges, one misfired cartridge, a mobile phone and a motorcycle.Police said Kishore confessed to procuring firearms from Bhurkunda in Ramgarh district and sold them across Hazaribag. Raids are under way to trace and arrest other members of the racket and the buyers, police said.
