Gumla: A 35-year-old man died after allegedly being attacked with an axe by his elder brother following a domestic dispute in Mahadaniya Tola under Ghaghra police station limits on Thursday. Police on Friday said that raids are on to apprehend the culprit, who is still at large.The deceased, Tiwari Oraon, suffered head injuries when he intervened to stop a quarrel between his elder brother, Surendra Oraon, 38, and his wife. Police said Tiwari succumbed to his injuries while being taken to Rims Ranchi, after being referred from Gumla Sadar Hospital.Surendra and his wife got into an argument over a domestic dispute, police said.Ghaghra police station officer-in charge Mohan Kumar Singh said the accused is absconding since the incident. “Raids are being conducted to arrest him,” Singh said.
