Buxar: A 45-year-old farmer, Sukhraj Ram, died after coming in contact with a live electric wire in Haroja village under Babuganj English panchayat under Sikraul police station area on Saturday.Sukhraj was on way to his field when he accidentally touched a snapped power line lying on the path. He died on the spot due to electrocution. When Sukhraj did not return home by evening, his family went to search for him. They found his body lying near the field and informed the police.On receiving the information, Sikraul station house officer (SHO) Dilip Yadav reached the spot with a police team. The police inspected the incident site, and sent the body for a postmortem.The SHO confirmed that the farmer died due to electrocution. Further legal action will be taken after the arrival of autopsy report.
