Dumka: Two persons, including a driver, were killed after an overloaded tractor transporting steel rods overturned on the Godda-Mahagama stretch of NH-133 near Kakna village in Godda district late on Monday.The deceased were identified as Sunil Mahto, 40, the tractor driver, and Niwas Bauri, 32, a labourer from Pandubathan village. Bauri was sitting atop the stack of steel rods loaded on the trailer when the accident occurred.Mahto is survived by two sons, while Bauri left behind two daughters.“Both the bodies were handed over to the respective families after post-mortem. The tractor has been seized and an investigation is under way,” said Anand Sah, officer in charge of Muffasil police station.
