Ara: Ahead of a proposed protest on Saturday, called by Aisa and RYA, Bhojpur district magistrate Tanai Sultania and superintendent of police (SP) Raj jointly inspected Dr B R Ambedkar welfare hostel and Ara railway station on Friday to review security and administrative preparedness.They interacted with students to assess their living conditions, facilities and other essential arrangements. They urged the students to express their views peacefully and within the bounds of law during any protest, and advised them not to be misled by rumours, misinformation or attempts to disrupt law and order.They later conducted a detailed inspection of Ara railway station, reviewed security arrangements and instructed the security personnel and officials concerned to remain vigilant, closely monitor any suspicious activity and ensure the safety of passengers.Meanwhile, on Friday, the Aisa and RYA jointly held a press conference in Ara and appealed to the students and people in general to participate in large numbers in the proposed protest during a Bihar bandh call on Saturday.“The Bihar bandh on Saturday has been called to express solidarity with the agitating students’ various demands and protest against the high-handedness of police against the protesting students. Our protest will be strong but peaceful, and within the provisions of law,” said a functionary.
