Bankipur battle heats up as Samrat, Prashant Kishor step up campaigns

Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary addressed a public meeting near Mandiri on Saturday and sought votes for NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha as the political atmosphere is heating up over the Bankipur assembly byelection scheduled for July 30.Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, who is in the fray, has also thrown all his might into reaching out to the voters. BJP national president Nitin Nabin, who vacated the seat after his election to Rajya Sabha, also reached Patna to review the poll preparations. RJD has fielded Rekha Gupta.Addressing the audience, the CM listed the development work done by the NDA govt in Bankipur and appealed to them to ensure the BJP candidate’s victory by a record margin.

In an oblique reference to Prashant, Samrat urged voters not to get misguided by people who will leave Bihar after their loss in the election.He said the NDA govt in Bihar was formed with public support and trust and Nitin served them for years as their representative. Expressing gratitude to former CM Nitish Kumar, he acknowledged that his guidance and support provided him the opportunity to serve Bihar.Samrat said his govt aims to improve school quality to such an extent that the children of public representatives, officials, and the general public alike would study there. He mentioned the 551 model schools and 211 new degree colleges opened in the state recently.He affirmed that with the people’s cooperation, Bihar would be steered toward new heights of development and prosperity.
