Woman among 4 farmers admitted in H’bag hospital for snakebite

Hazaribag: Four farmers, including a woman, belonging to Barhi and Chauparan blocks were admitted in the Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH) for snakebites on Thursday.The victims were identified as Naresh Singh (70) of Katiyaun village in Barhi block, besides Kunti Devi (40) of Devchanda, Rameshwar Yadav (60) of Ralo, and Hari Das (19) of Karipahari village in Chauparan.They were bitten by snakes at their paddy fields. They were sent to the Barhi sub-divisional hospital, where doctors provided first aid and referred them to the SBMCH.Deputy superintendent of the Barhi sub-divisional hospital, Dr Prakash Gyani, said, “Take adequate precautions when working in fields, orchards, and bushy areas. Also, seek immediate medical treatment instead of relying on traditional healing practices for snakebite.”
