Dry weather to prevail till April 21: Met

Ranchi: Hot and dry weather conditions are likely to prevail in most parts of the state for the next few days, with chances of localised rain at isolated places in some pockets of the northeastern districts between April 16 and April 18, the Ranchi Met office said on Wednesday. According to the Met office, dry weather is likely to prevail across the state at least till April 21.Meanwhile, Seraikela has already crossed the 40 degrees Celsius mark on Tuesday, and the maximum temperatures in the state capital is expected to touch 42 degrees Celsius on April 19.“Ranchi and its neighbourhood for the next five days will witness more rise in daytime temperatures and there is no possibility of rain,” Abhishek Anand, deputy director of the Ranchi MeT office, said. According to the weather bulletin, from April 16 to April 17, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara and Dumka districts may receive very light rainfall at isolated places, while the rest of the 20 districts will receive no rain at all.Similar situation will prevail from April 17 to April 18 morning, while Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Pakur, Godda and Sahibganj districts may receive some localised rain at isolated places, while the other 18 districts will remain dry.
