Ranchi: CM Hemant Soren on Tuesday said more than 8,500 young people across the state had submitted suggestions for reforming the competitive examination system through samvad.jharkhand.gov.in, a portal launched two days ago amid concerns over recruitment tests.In an X post addressed to students and job aspirants, Hemant said the recommendations covered OMR-based tests, examination calendars, scorecards, question papers, recruitment transparency and greater use of technology. “Suggestions on reforms in constitutional bodies, including the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), had also been received,” he added.The initiative comes amid sustained protests by JPSC and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) aspirants demanding greater transparency and accountability. Protesters have also sought cancellation of the JSSC-CGL 2024 examination and a CBI investigation.Hemant said the govt aimed not merely to discuss existing problems but to create a system that was “more transparent, fair, secure, reliable and accountable” for current and future generations.Urging young people to continue sharing ideas, he said even one suggestion could improve the prospects of thousands of candidates. The proposed reforms, he added, would not be driven by the govt alone but shaped through public participation, particularly by Jharkhand’s youth.
