Two Killed, Two Critically Injured as Car Hits Divider on NH-33 In Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Two men were killed, and two others sustained critical injuries after a speeding car rammed into a road divider on NH-33 near Pipla bridge under MGM police station limits on Thursday.The deceased were identified as Sisir Dumbi Chatomba (22) and Surjeet Singh (24). While Chatomba was a resident of Jamda in West Singhbhum district, Surjeet was a resident of Namda Basti under Golmuri police station limits in East Singhbhum district. Both were killed on the spot.The injured were identified as Gurudev Singh alias Rahul, a resident of Namda Basti, and Sunita Tubid of Jeteya in West Singhbhum. Both are in their early twenties and were stated to be in critical condition. The front portion of the vehicle was mangled with the impact of the crash, trapping the occupants inside.MGM police later shifted them to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur, from where Gurudev was referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi. Bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examination. “Circumstances leading to the fatal accident are yet to be established,” Sachin Das, the officer in-charge of MGM police station, said.
