New Delhi: A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another to death and injuring three others after two of them refused to give him tobacco in northeast Delhi’s Sundar Nagri.Abhishek succumbed to his injuries Saturday, a week after the incident in which his brother Sachin and cousins Vishal and Vinod were injured.Information about the stabbing was received at Nand Nagri police station on Aug 15 from Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where all four were undergoing treatment. Sachin told police that he and his cousin Vishal were on their way to work when two unidentified men intercepted them and allegedly demanded tobacco at knifepoint.Sachin told police that one of the assailants was wearing a white shirt and cap, while the other was wearing a black checkered shirt. He then informed his brother Abhishek, who told them to return home.As the two men ran towards their residence, the assailants chased them. Meanwhile, Abhishek and his cousin Vinod also reached the spot. “They attacked all four persons before fleeing,” said DCP (Northeast) Rahool Alwal.A case was registered. CCTV footage from the area was analysed, and efforts led to identifying the accused, Arshad, and his arrest.
