Jamshedpur: Bodies of Dhatkidih, Kandra residents Rahul Hansda (23) and Tapan Pradhan (21), missing since Aug 17, were recovered Saturday from a forest near Ramchandrapur-Rapcha football ground under Kandra police station, Seraikela-Kharsawan. Families lodged missing complaints on Aug 20 and suspected abduction. Police detained two local youths and, using interrogation clues, excavated the site and found the bodies buried. Investigators suspect killings linked to a mobile phone theft dispute, though the motive is unconfirmed. Evidence was collected and the bodies sent for post-mortem. “Police are investigating all aspects of the case, including the circumstances surrounding the deaths,” said Seraikela SDPO Anubhav Bhardwaj.
