Youth in Maharashtra plays pro-Pakistan songs on loudspeaker, case filed

Ulhasnagar: An FIR has been registered against a youth after he allegedly played a song containing pro-Pakistan slogans and lyrics over a loudspeaker at an Eid-e-Milad stage in Ulhasnagar on Wednesday. Police said the incident occurred at Kailash Colony Chowk, where a stage had been erected for the Eid procession.The accused, identified as Nihal Abdul Wahid Ansari, allegedly played a track supporting Pakistan over the sound system. A passerby recorded a video of the incident on his mobile phone and alerted local authorities. Acting on the clip, Hill Line police detained the youth for questioning. Nearly 12 hours later, police registered an FIR against Ansari under Section 192 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for alleged provocation and intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace. He was subsequently served a notice.Following the incident, representatives of several local political parties and social organisations submitted memorandums to the police, demanding stringent action against those responsible.
