CISF seizes 113.32 tonnes of illegally stored coal in Hazaribag
The seized coal was loaded onto five tipper trucks and taken to the NTPC weighbridge. After being weighed as per procedure, it was dumped and secured in the Stocker-Reclaimer area.

Hazaribag: The CISF seized 113.32 tonnes of illegally stored coal from a remote forest area near Chapri village under Gondalpura panchayat in Barkagaon block on Thursday evening.The operation was carried out by the NTPC Coal Mining Project’s Hazaribag unit and led by Commandant Vivek Sharma, in the presence of Deputy Commandant Suresh and Assistant Commandant Sanjeev Kumar Meena.Acting on credible information, a CISF team searched the forest area, located around 50 km from the unit, and found a large stockpile of coal.The seized coal was loaded onto five tipper trucks and taken to the NTPC weighbridge. After being weighed as per procedure, it was dumped and secured in the Stocker-Reclaimer area.Officials said the action was taken under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. Sharma said the force would not compromise on the protection of national assets and coal resources.
