Ramgarh: Marking National Sports Day 2026, the Ramgarh district administration on Saturday organised the open cross country competition 2026 under the aegis of the directorate of sports and youth affairs, Jharkhand govt, with DC Rituraj not only flagging off the event but also joining the runners to encourage participants.The men’s race began from Patel Chowk, while the women’s category started from the Cantonment Football Ground. A large number of athletes took part in the competition.Stressing on the importance of sports for physical and mental development, Rituraj said, “The district administration is committed to providing better facilities and opportunities for young athletes.”
